Operation Orphan's Cry [Charity Event]
Recently, a group of extremists attacked an orphanage in New Hampshire,
Holding the orphans and caretakers hostage, they have threatened to
release a biological virus in the air in and around the orphanage. Their
claim is that the government doesn't pay enough attention to the
children in need, or truly help the orphans find caring homes. They
claim they are doing this to bring attention to the issue of needing
children.
In response to these threats, local government officials have responded with a tactical team designated to handle these types of situations. After three hours of attempted negotiations, sniper teams across the orphanage spotted suspicious movement through one of the windows and opened fire. Strike teams moved in immediately and a rescue attempts were made to keep the children and caretakers out of harm's way. Unfortunately, casualties were confirmed. Four strike team operatives were killed in combat, two extremists, and one caretaker were all shot and killed in the brief firefight. Additionally, it has become clear that the extremists that had taken over the orphanage were only a fraction of the organized force.
Less than an hour after the strike, some of the children and two of the caretakers started displaying symptoms of an unidentified infection or disease. Upon further research, strike teams also found a vial of the antidote shattered in the east wing hallway. Within a few minutes medical teams were dispatched, and a quarantine was set up. During the next two hours, many of the soldiers involved in the initial attack and all but one of the exposed children were displaying symptoms of infection. This was discovered also by the surviving extremists, some of which had been hiding out in a nearby building and waiting for the right time to intervene.
Those within two football fields from the orphanage have all come down with signs of infection, including the hiding members of the extremist cell. Fortunately for the extremists, they had made just enough vials of the antidote to protect them in a contingency situation. Now the opportunity has presented itself to cleanse the city of the corruption, and the extremist cell has decided to stop the military at all costs from finding the girl, and figuring out an antidote.
Strike teams and have been ordered to secure the child and bring them to one of the farthest set up medical outposts from the orphanage for blood work and to begin working on a cure for the soldiers and children. So far, the virus seems to have stopped spreading through areal means. Infection symptoms begin 30-45 minutes after contact with the contagion. It has been established now that it can only be transferred through physical contact and body fluids. While the virus has mutated, it has also been confirmed that anyone outside the quarantined areas have come down with signs of infection.
Symptoms include discoloration of the eyes and skin, excessive thirst, paranoia and/or schizophrenic behaviors, nosebleeds, ear bleeds, swelling of the extremities, and uncontrolled vomiting. Medics and virologists believe that the time it will take the virus to finally kill is within 12 hours of infection.

ALL money made from this event will be going to help "A Wish Come True", a group that helps children who have been diagnosed with fatal or potentially fatal diseases and conditions and their families, to build memories and provide them with at least one day they can forget about their worries, and smile.
