Operation Howling
The small town of Windpalm Grove, strange events have occurred, and the town holds a very dark secret that even those who live there are oblivious to. Windpalm Grove has the highest missing persons rate in it's area. For years, people have gone missing. At first, it was villagers. The outcasts of the small rural society, or those who would be missed the most. Each night t...hat the people went missing, villagers claimed to hear horrifying howls in the night coming from the hills, waking many of the villagers up. Some superstitious townsfolk believe that they are being taken by demons. Some conspiracy theorists have started to believe that these are alien abductions. Others yet, suspect government work in the disappearances and possible human experimentation.
Recently, a member of the local VFW chapter, a young Marine who recently returned from a tour in Afghanistan, went missing after trying to help the town figure out what was going on. The next day, a small group of Private Military Contractors rolled into town, claiming to have been called in by a friend of theirs, the Marine to investigate.
Those who were suspicious of the PMC group and had connections with their local National Guard, contacted the base commander and told them of their situation. The base commander agreed to take part in the investigation, and alerted the villagers that they would be sending in a few teams in to help secure the town. The PMCs, upon hearing this moved into the hills under claim that they wanted to start their investigation unhindered. This made some villagers suspicious of the PMC Group, and others suspicious of the National Guard.
In the end, neither side stood a chance. Both PMC and National Guard were overrun by an infection that had laid dormant for years, a creation of Professor McTavish. Everyone in Windpalm Grove was decimated, leaving only a dead town in it's wake.

"Had a blast. The field was small, but safety was held in paramount which I prefer and appreciate. It was nice to see safety netting up, the staging area had plenty of tables and was well shaded. Staff was friendly enough and had a good sense of humor."
- Binky of Dire Wolves (AirsoftRI and AirsoftCT) "So yeah, basically this was a scenario in which Phoenix set out to f**k with heads. And he did it quite nicely." - UrbanCohort (MAASF) "An epic and amazing game..." - Des of Reapers RI (MAASF) 'Game was awesome! I spent the first half stumbling, and ranting as the town drunk." - Rithwald |
